Trauma is the particle based visual language developed by Ikaruga. The language is based on (ten) particles that stand for a number of things. (Eight) of them; stand for themes. Each one of these themes are divided into three ideas. The building and correlating of these ideas successfully create concepts which are used to communicate.

About

Trauma is a language structure (I) developed throughout the years. (I) originally planned for it to be used in my artwork, and to give my characters a unique voice that would separate them from the norm. (This is the official learning website for the time being.) It is currently under some development. (Quoted Directly from m0oo)

Learning

Individual lessons are available through the Lessons page and provide you with basic understanding of the language traume.

LESSON1: SYNTHAX

Before we start, we must keep in mind that Trauma was not originally created to fill conversational purposes but more to communicate a clear message quickly and descriptively.

The categories were chosen in order to cover subjects from a more general view to one which is more precise. The syntax works in cycles, starting from the OS particle, you

circle counter clockwise in the grid above ( IS | IL | IF ) until you reach OF, you pick particles in order to build your "synthesis" from dimensions to

physics. Each particle has 3 levels, therefore 3 meanings. For example, a physical locator term would be written : triosKES ( Image:10_tri.gif Image:10_os.gif Image:10_k.gif Image:10_es.gif )

. Knowing that TRI Image:10_tri.gif, for 3rd level, and K Image:10_k.gif, for second level, those particles

serve only the purpose of defining the level.

LESSON2: BUILDING EXPRESSIONS

Building expressions, or sentences is simplier to grasp than synthax, so if you struggled on the synthax side, worry not, this will be easier. Trauma was not originally made to deblaterate for ever, but is cutting straight to the point, therefore the sentences are divided in two. SUBJECT, ACTION and sometimes TARGETS. The order of these words will determinate when the action is happening. In most cases, the subject should be understood from the beginning of a conversation and will not be recalled until you change subject, in the case where you would like to introduce a subject the sentence would go as follow:

[TARGET][ACTION][SUBJECT FOR FUTURE & PRESENT TENSE][CLOSURE]

Trauma merges present and future tenses, so to mention something that's passed, you must place the subject before the action. So for the sentence

"I drink your blood". You would phrase it like:

Image:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif [YOURS] Image:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_es.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif [DRINK] Image:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_is.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_loo.gif Image:10_sp.gif [BLOOD] Image:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif [CLOSURE]

To Link thoses elements in a sentence, you will use the loop particle that keeps the sentence open for more content inbetween ideas. If you take the exemple above, all the closing tags will be swapped for looping particles.

Image:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_es.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_is.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif will become Image:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_ol.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_es.gifImage:10_il.gifImage:10_ol.gifImage:10_tri.gifImage:10_os.gifImage:10_is.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_k.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_if.gifImage:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif

To transform a sentence into a question, you simply add a looping particle Image:10_ol.gif before the closing tag Image:10_loo.gifImage:10_sp.gif meaning to keep the idea open to completion. It would resemble the "anything further on this ?" in english.
